What's In Your Heart?

The average human heart is the size of two closed fists – and weighs less than a pound. Despite its size, this organ has the most vital function in the body and is essential to human life. However, what lies within your heart may be even more crucial than how it functions.

The brain is the powerhouse of thought and logic. As such, it's used to formulate plans, develop goals, and calculate the path to our passion. However, the willingness to achieve our goals and the spark of passion that realizes these goals both come from the heart. Your head may be responsible for your logic and common sense, but your heart is where your passion lies.


Relying on your head to define goals and articulate a clear plan to achieve them is essential. At times, though, it’s necessary to allow your heart to lead you in the direction of your passion and your purpose.


So this question begs asking: Are you open to listening to your heart? If so, how well? How often? If never, why?


Take a moment today to reflect on what’s in your heart. What is your heart calling you to do? In what direction is your heart pulling you?


They say the longest journey anyone can travel is the distance between heart and head. It’s a distance worth traveling, and a journey worth making. The path to your passion and purpose begins in your heart.
