As kids, it wasn’t unusual for us to want to be someone else: a football star, an expert inventor, or even a brilliant artist. Many of us probably spent more than just a passing thought wondering what it would be like to be a different person.

Now, older and wiser, we don’t necessarily look at someone else’s life and wish it were our own. In fact, most people don’t want to be someone else, yet we don’t always want to be who we are–and we don’t always appreciate the person we can be.

There is only one you. No one else has the exact blend of gifts, talents, emotions, thoughts, and characteristics that you do.

By embracing the attributes that make you unique, you’ll not only learn to appreciate the person you are, but you’ll also be excited by the person that you can be. Embracing all that you are unlocks the untapped potential within you.

How can you embrace who you are?

Cultivate the talents you were given. Hone your skills and expand your skill sets. Grow the ideas you have. Most importantly, everyday choose to be the best you you can be.

This world needs a you. It’s time to embrace the you that you are, and the you that you can be.

Ask yourself these questions to help you embrace all you are and can be:

  1. What are my greatest strengths? Weaknesses?

  2. What skills and talents do I have that set me apart?

  3. What attributes do I possess that I am most proud of?

  4. What steps can I take today to unlock my untapped potential?

  5. How can I better use my skills, talents, and characteristics?

Be yourself; everyone else is already taken!
