“All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.”
- T.E. Lawrence
The importance of dreams
What’s a dream that’s never pursued? How about an idea that’s never brought to fruition? A talent never explored, or a story never told? The answer is simple: a waste.
It’s a special kind of blessing to be given an idea or dream. But without action, such a blessing can be wasted. It will never see the light of day and will never become reality.
A ‘Daydreamer’, however, understands that a dream is not something to be ignored, wasted, or simply entertained. It is something to be realized–and actualized. Simply, it’s the beginning of something great.
Become a DAYdreamer
If you’ve been given a dream or idea, it’s your responsibility to bring that dream to fruition. It’s your duty to rise to the challenge–and become a Daydreamer.
Follow these principles to make your dream a DAYdream:
1. Develop the dream: Cultivate the dream so that it’s a definable, identifiable idea that can become an achievable reality;
2. Apply a plan: Establish a well-organized and goal-oriented plan to bring the idea to life; and,
3. Yield results: Commit to your dream, and put the plan into action.
Don’t allow another dream to pass by wasted and unrealized. Be a ‘Daydreamer’. Act on your dream, until that dream becomes a reality.
